"Jean B. Heiney, 81, of Lehighton, and formerly of Kresgeville, died Saturday in Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Foster C. Heiney. Born in Aquashicola, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Hilda (Bachman) Andrews. She worked as a presser for Scottys Fashions, Little Gap, for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Trachsville. She was a member of the Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company and the auxiliary. She was a member of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens, Kresgeville.
Survivors: She is survived by a son, Donald Heiney of Palmerton; daughter, Diane J. Reenock of Walnutport; stepdaughter, Carolyn Meinhart of Kunkletown; two brothers, Sherwood Andrews of Walnutport and Robert M. Andrews of Lehighton; sister, Phyllis Balliet in Florida; two grandsons, two stepgranddaughters.
Services: will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in Jerusalem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Leon Zinkler officiating. Burial will be in Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services in the church. The Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
