Clarence was born to Thomas Harry George Grant Andrews (1869 Brooklyn, NY,USA - 1949 Vancouver, BC, Canad)and his wife Elizabeth Ward (1878 Yale, BC - 1928 Matsqui, BC)in Yale, BC, Canada. Clarence moved to California on Mar.16, 1915 and enlisted 23 Nov 1921 as CPL US ARMY. Clarence had a younger sister named Eveline Margaret Andrews born 1905 in Yale, BC and she married Cyrus Albert Ewart Cooke in 1926 and had one child Elizabeth Isabella Cooke. The Cooke family stayed in BC. The Ward family to which his Mother belonged was a pioneer family of Yale, BC and the home that she grew up in is part of the Yale Historical Site. There are two houses as part of the Historical buildings, the other is the Creighton House which was the house Elizabeth Ward's sister Mary Alice Ward made home for her family and husband David James Creighton.
