Lucian Ervin Andrews, 72, of Starke, died Monday May 22, 2006, of natural causes while vacationing at the Mosquito Lagoon in Oak Hill. Born on June 27, 1933, Mr. Andrews lived most of his life in Starke. He was the son of the late Reddish R. Andrews and Cleo Thomas Andrews.

He was a retired businessman and Pharmacists who owned and operated Andrews Drugs in Northeast Florida. He was a member of both New River and Madison Street Baptist Churches. He was a pilot in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Bradford County Development Authority and the Rotary Club.

Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margie Faye Paulk Andrews; three sons, Larry David “L.D.” Andrews and Randal W. Andrews, both of Starke, and Michael Dale Andrews of Wellborn; two sisters, Maxine Kelley of Jacksonville, and Gayle Hurst of Melrose; a brother, John Harrell Andrews of St. Augustine; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Andrews will be held Friday, May 26, 2006, at 11 A.M., at Madison Street Baptist Church in Starke with the Rev. Charles Warren officiating and the Rev. Jason Reid assisting. Burial will follow in New River Baptist Church cemetery under the care of Archie Tanner Funeral Home of Starke.
