Belvadean Reeves Andrew, 90, of Vevay, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born Aug. 7, 1922, in Markland, the daughter of Elmer and Ethel Brooks Reeves. She was raised in Vevay and was a 1940 graduate of Vevay High School. She resided most of her life in Vevay. She was formerly employed as a telephone operator for Vevay Telephone Company for 10 years. She was a former clerk at Danner's Hardware in Vevay. She was a member of the Ruter Chapel United Methodist Church in Vevay. She enjoyed gardening, working on crafts and being a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lee Andrews, whom she married Feb. 9, 1947, and who died Feb. 23, 1994; her parents; one brother, Donley Reeves, who died Jan. 17, 1974; and one half sister, Carmen Ader.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial will be in Vevay Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 2 p.m. until the service.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Ruter Chapel United Methodist Church. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
