SPRINGFIELD - Christine S. Andrew, 78, of Springfield died at 12:20 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
Christine was born February 10, 1931 in Jackson, KY, the daughter of Tom and Cindy Helton Shouse. She married John Andrew on September 3, 1977 in Newport, KY.
Christine lived in Springfield for 32 years and was a member of St. Katherine Drexel at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, wife and nanny and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Price Shouse; and daughter, Sherry Short.
She is survived by her husband, John; two daughters, Debbie (husband, Joe) Ponchot of Union, KY and Eva (husband, John) Mueller of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Chad, Shane and Jodie Ponchot of Union, KY, Christina (husband, Kelly) Howard of Cincinnati, OH, Jennifer (husband, Matt) Schultz of Fairfield, OH, David Mueller of Portland, OR and Michael Mueller of California; three sisters, Tillie Hatton of Alexandria, KY, Wanda Morgan of Arlington Heights, OH and Sue Palicia of Erie, PA; two brothers, Tom (wife, Sandy) of Clymer, NY and Amos (wife, Mildred) of Newport, KY; and four great-grandchildren Bailey, Isabella and Mason Ponchot and Jordyn Mueller.
The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. The visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 524 E Lawrence, Springfield with Rev. Christopher A. House celebrant.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
Memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor's choice.
