Daniel E. Andreotti, 3/18/1944 - 08/24/2012, resident of Pleasant Hill. "Be honest, respectful of others, and courageous in seeking the truth. Don't be afraid to love and be loved." -Dan 2012. Dan peacefully passed away early Friday morning at his home in Pleasant Hill. He is remembered as a truly good man who devoted his life to the happiness and well-being of others, especially adolescents. He touched thousands of lives - passionately caring, nurturing - ready to listen and love. Dan loved his career as a teacher and Dean of Guidance at De La Salle High School in Concord for 35 years, and his private practice as a Marriage Family Therapist in Walnut Creek. He joyfully spent his leisure time hunting, fishing, gardening, playing handball, fixing or building things, and enjoying time with his treasured friends and family. Beloved son of the late Dino and Albina Andreotti, Dan was born in Chicago and raised in San Francisco. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School, 1962 and Saint Mary's College in Moraga, 1966, and earned a graduate degree from San Francisco State University as well as an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy at Cal State Hayward. Dan is survived by his wife Lois of 43 years, daughters Alycia (Andreotti) McAlister and Elena Andreotti, two granddaughters Cade and Mave, sister Dona (Andreotti) Ryan and brother-in-law Robert (Bob) Ryan, sons-in-law Michael McAlister and Al Rumphrey, and numerous extended family members. Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Oak Park Hills Chapel from 10:30 am -1:00 pm at 3111 N. Main St. Walnut Creek, burial to follow at 2:00 pm at Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette, and a memorial service Wednesday, August 29 at De La Salle High School, 7:00 pm, 1130 Winton Drive, Concord. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Michael J.
