LEETONIA – Frank E. Andre Sr., 72, of State Route 344, died at 6:35 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at the Salem Convalescent center following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Youngstown Sept. 9, 1928, a son of the late Roger J. and Laura Kerr Andre.
He was employed as a core maker at Columbiana Pump Co. until retiring and served with the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Townsend Andre.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Kay) Eckman of Boardman, Mrs. Larry (Pearl) Davis and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Davis of East Liverpool; two sons, Walter Andre and Frank Andre Jr. of East Palestine; three sisters, Florence Barber of Boardman, Gladys Schweitzer of East Palestine and Mrs. James (Jane) Hulton of New Waterford; and five grandchildren.
Pastor Jim Gaston will conduct services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home in Leetonia. Burial will be in New Waterford Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
