"Hayward Pioneer Called by Death
Another gap appeared in the fast-thinning ranks of Hayward's pioneers Friday night with the death of Mrs. Adelina Andrade, who died at the home of her son, A. A. Andrade, 1122 C street after a residence here of 43 [?] years. ...
Mrs. Andrade was born in Fayal, Azores islands, nearly 74 years ago. She is survived by five sons, A. A. Andrade, Frank A. Andrade, Jesse H. Andrade, Manuel A. Andrade and William A. Andrade, and a daughter, Mrs. Emily Monese [?], all of Hayward. She was the sister of Mrs. Frank Mitchell Sr., Mrs. A. Baptiste and John Amaral, all of Hayward, and Frank Amaral of Milpitas.
Funeral services . . . will be held at the chapel at 9 o'clock Monday morning and at All Saints' Catholic church at 9:30 o'clock with interment at St. Joseph's cemetery to follow."
