Mrs. Birdie Adwell, 91, Cave City, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Hart County Health Care, Horse Cave. The Hart County native was the daughter of the late Willie and Florence Tapscott Anderson and the widow of Oscar "Pete" Adwell. She was a homemaker and member of Northtown Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Sturgeon (Otis), Cave City; two sons, Leon Adwell (Linda), Cave City, Murrell Adwell, Illinois; a sister, Dorothy Adwell (Calvin) Cave City; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services with Otis Sturgeon officiating will be at 1 PM, Sunday, March 25th at Northtown Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation at the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, will be from 3 to 8 PM on Saturday, March 24. Visitation will continue at the church on Sunday March 25th from 10 AM until time of services.
