According to Ohio naturalization records, 1930 & 1940 Ohio federal census, Joseph and his parents were born in Yugoslavia and brother Paul Anderson was born in Ohio in 1911. Joseph, father Joseph, and mother Lena immigrated to the US 1910-1911. Census shows she remarried A Martin Kedacis or Kadacic, also from Yugoslavia. According to Paul Anderson's death certificate in 1983 in Virginia his father's name was Joseph Anderson and mother was Lena (maiden name Hrzenjak).

Joseph Anderson, 9940 47th Ave., St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Smyrna, died Tuesday.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, with Father Bruce Birdsey officiating.
Anderson lived in Smyrna before moving to Florida eight years ago. Prior to retirement, he was employed with Lockheed as a change planner for 20 years.
Survivors include widow, Rosemary Jordan Anderson; daughter, Mrs. Jack R. (Patti) Tardo, Austell; son, Ronald C. Williams, Largo, Fla; brother, Paul Anderson, Rockbridge Baths, Va., three grandchildren.
Gene Davis Funeral Home, Mableton, is in charge of arrangements.
