In the 1880 U. S. census, 36 yr. old John Anderson, working in a saw mill, b. in Sweden, was living at 25 8th St. in San Bernardino, San Bernardino, CA. with his
21 yr. old wife, Anna Anderson, b. in CA.
18 yr. old sister-in-law and boarder, Lydia Burton, b. in CA.
Anna & Lydia's parents were b. in Australia.

According to the 1894 Great Register of San Bernardino County, CA., 50 yr. old John Anderson, a farmer, b. in Sweden, was 5'10" tall, with a light complexion, blue eyes and gray hair. He was blind in the right eye and was missing two fingers from lis left hand. He became a naturalized citizen on Aug. 23, 1875 in San Bernardino county, CA.

In the 1900 U. S. census, 56 yr. old John Anderson, a farmer, b. Feb. 1844 in Sweden, was living in a house he owned free and clear in San Bernardino, San Bernardino, CA. with his
41 yr. old wife, Anna Anderson, b. Nov. 1858 in CA.
John and Anna had been marr. for 21 years. They had never had any children.
John's parents were both b. in Sweden and Anna's parents were both b. in England.
John immigrated to the U. S. in 1865 and was now a naturalized citizen.

In the 1910 U. S. census, 66 yr. old John Anderson, a self-employed farmer on a grain farm, b. in Sweden, was living on a farm he owned free and clear on Waterman Ave. in San Bernardino, San Bernardino, CA. with his
52 yr. old wife, Anna Anderson, b. in CA.
John immigrated to the U. S in 1870 and was now a naturalized citizen.
John's parents were both b. in Sweden
John and Anna had been married for 32 years. This was a first marriage for both.
They had never had any children.

John Anderson, 83 years old, died yesterday at his home at 709 West F street, Colton. He was born in Sweden and came to California 65 years ago. He was a prominent member of the Odd Fellows lodge.
Funeral arrangements are pending. The Mark B. Shaw company is in charge.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today for John Anderson, pioneer Californian, who died at his Colton home Thursday at the age of 83 years. The service will be held at the chapel of the mark B. Shaw company.
Mr. Anderson was born in Sweden on February 25, 1844. He came to the United States in 1865, and resided in New York for five years.
In 1870 he came to California, where he married Miss Annie Burton, who died seven years ago. Mr. Anderson was a prominent member of the Odd Fellows lodge. Burial will be in Mountain View.
