THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 3 Aug 1989. 'Euna Anderson, 83, formerly of Paris, died Thursday, 27 Jul 1989, in the C.C. Young Memorial Home, Dallas, where she had made her home since 1983. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, 29 Jul, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Starnes officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Miss Anderson was born 21 Jul 1906, in Lake Creek, a daughter of George T. and Nannie Lee Petitfils Anderson. She was a graduate of Cooper High School and earned a bachelor's and master's degree from East Texas State University. She taught 43 years in Paris and Delmar (Midway) schools, retiring in 1972 from Paris High School where she was a home economics teacher. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Paris where she was active in the Friendship Class and the Wesleyan Service Guild. She was also a volunteer for the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are a brother, Gus Anderson of Dallas; three sisters, Bertie Russell of Lindale, Mabel Montgomery of Dallas and Mary Regan of Dallas; four nieces, three nephews and several great nieces and nephews.'
Tombstone is inscribed, 'Daughter of Mr. And Mrs. G. T. Anderson.' Buried next to Nannie Lee Anderson.
