Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 22, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon from the First Lutheran church for Mrs. Theresia Anderson, who passed away on Nov. 19, 1953, at the age of 87 years and 7 months. The Rev. Harold R. Peterson, pastor of the church, conducted the last rites. Mrs. Herman Hedin, accompanied by Mrs. H. R. Peterson on the piano, sang "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," aand "Abide With Me." Interment was in Greenwood cemetery with Corrigan's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Those attending the service from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Ives Davies, Rodney Davies, Mrs. Al Bryam, Miss Naida Barringer all of St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Larson, of Brainerd; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Barringer and sons, Jerry and Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Degendorfer, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Upton and daughter, Zona, all of Eagle Bend; Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson, of Elk River; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Schrader, Mrs. Wm Holtberg, of Long Prairie; Otto Samuelson, of Bertha, and a host of friends and relatives from the vacinity. Theresiea Anderson was born in Westervik, Sweden, on April 1, 1866, the daughter of Dama AnPer Anderso. The deceased came to Minneapolis from Sweden the year 1884, later moving to Chicago. On July 30, 1904, she was united in marriage to Nels Anderson West Union, MN. They continue to reside on the farm until February, 1918, when they moved to town. Mr. Anderosn preceded her in death on May 17, 1939. Mrs. Anderson was a life long member of the Lutheran faith having been a member of the First Lutheran chuch since 1904. She is survived by seven step-children several nieces and nephews and 12 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters preceded her death.
