He was born Oct. 9, 1918, at home in Western Township rural Fergus Falls, the son of August and Emily (Sundberg) Anderson. He grew up on the family farm, attending rural school at District No. 252 in Orwell Township.
On Sept. 14, 1941, he married Irene Hanson at First United Church of Christ in Fergus Falls, and they made their home in Buse Township. Pat entered military service on June 12, 1942, and served as a sergeant with the U.S. Air Force 413th Bomb Squadron in England during World War II. He joined his father's well business, Anderson Well Drilling. After a few years he then became co-owner with his brother, Jack, and it became Anderson Brothers Well Drilling. In 1975 he became sole owner of the business. Pat retired in 1980.
He was a lifelong member of First United Church of Christ, and also a member of the VFW, Elks, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever and the Deerhunters Association.
Pat loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, deer hunting, fishing the bass opener and doing yard work and gardening. A highlight was being able to hunt with his sons and grandsons. He also loved attending ballgames and activities of his grandchildren.
