PROMINENT RESIDENT DIES
Mrs. Henry Anderson, of 1324 Oak
St. Passed Away on Sunday
Mrs. Anna Katherine Anderson, aged 57 years, the wife of Henry Anderson, passed away on Sunday evening at eight o'clock at her home, 1324 Oak street in the presence of her family and relatives. The immediate cause of death was arteriosclerosis. About Christmas time of last year she sustained a fall which severely injured her spine. She suffered much and was taken to a local hospital the latter part of June and again taken back home.
The deceased was born in Denmark and coming to this country she was married to Henry Anderson and since that time the family has resided continuously in Brainerd. She was essentially a home loving and home building woman, devoted to her children and her husband. It is seldom even that she went down town or out of the city. She was loved by all her friends and neighbors who were glad to share her friendship. She was a member of the Modern Brotherhood of America.
Surviving her are her husband and five sons, Andrew, Peter, Martin, Carl and Thorvald. Three sisters attended to her in her last illness and were present at her death. They are Mrs. Sofus Press, of Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Wm. Soderlund, of South Tacoma, Wash.; and Mrs. James Peterson, of Detroit. The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the residence and at half past two o'clock from the Seventh Street Norwegian Lutheran church. Rev. M. L. Hostager officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The sympathy of their many friends is extended the family in its deep distress. (Brainerd Daily Dispatch, 24 July 1911, p. 3, c. 4) [Contributed by John Van Essen]
