Cheryl G. Anderson, age 65, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at her home in Michigan City.
She was born on July 13, 1947 in Duluth, MN to the late Vincent V. and Gertrude A. (nee Wetterlind) Anderson. Cheryl was a resident of Michigan City for five years, formerly of Florida and Valparaiso, IN, member of Trinity Lutheran Church, 1965 Valparaiso High School graduate, and a member of the singing group, Sweet Adelines.
Cheryl is survived by children: Eric (Julie) Deal of Valparaiso, IN, Shannon (Chris) Uttal of Valparaiso, IN, and Christopher (Stacy) Deal of North Carolina; grandchildren: Jared, Joshua, Ethan, Christian, Annah, Grace, and Jacklinn; siblings: Karen Strehlon, Linn Baird, Sandra Zierz, Robin Anderson, and Kristen Campbell. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, Kevin.
Friends may meet with the family on Monday, December 31, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 N. Campbell St., Valparaiso, IN. Memorial service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Erica Gibson-Even officiating. Burial of cremains at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN.
