Son of Anders Petersson and Anna Brita Jonasdotter, Carl was born in Värnamo Sweden. He left for Norway to study coppersmithing where he met and married Andrine Halvorsdotter in 1893. They migrated to the United States in 1896 and had three children -- Castor, Nan and Algot. Andrine contracted pulmonary tuberculosis and died in 1901. Carl remarried Johanna Kristina Petersdotter in 1902 and they had three children -- Hedwig, Charles and Ester.
Carl died in 1944 and is buried with his second wife Johanna. His first wife Andrine, is buried in Mount Olive Cemetery. He will not be forgotten.
