Lou Ella was the daughter of H. K. "Hezekiah" and Catherine (Hiles) Anderson. She grew up in Monroe City, MO and married Darius Lighter. They had three daughters. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Virginia Sanders, in Edinburg, Texas and her remains were returned home by train accompanied by her daughters, Mrs. Sanders and Mrs. Ulysses S. Algee of Laredo, Texas. They were met in Monroe City by her grandson, Flight Officer Ulysses S Algee, Jr. who is stationed in Sedalia, Mo. She is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. E. Elam of Graysport, Miss.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 23, 1943 at Wilson Funeral Hone, Monroe City, Mo. with Rev. Earl Crowe officiating. Attending were C. Ray Anderson of Monroe City, Miss Louise Anderson of Mexico, Mrs. M. E. Anderson of Hannibal, Mr. and Mrs, Lloyd Claville and two children from Bowling Green, and other relatives and friends.
