Mrs. Mattie Phillips Anderson, 87, Route 1, Dearing, Georgia, wife of the late Seth D. Anderson, entered into rest Monday, November 30, 1981, in a McDuffie County nursing home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fort Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Faulkner and the Rev. Peter Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walton Reeves, John Wood, B.R. Huff and George Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was a native of McDuffie County. She was member of Fort Creek Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include a sister; Lucy Mae Thomas, Thomson, Ga., and a brother, James Henry Phillips, Dearing. Curtis Funeral Home.
