Born in Lawtey, Mr. Anderson was the son of George R. and Jessie Mae Anderson. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church since 1977, where he was a faithful worshiper. He loved to grind sugar cane and make cane syrup. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Maggie Anderson of Lawtey; his children, Marian (Loyd) Bryan of Lawtey, James (Kathy) Martin of Satellite Beach, Guy Lamar (Terry) Anderson and Michael Allen Anderson, all of Lawtey; a brother, R.D. Anderson; his sisters, Carrie Mae Rosier and Margie Gardner; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Northside Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Finley officiating. Burial was in Lawtey Cemetery. Arrangements were under the care of Archie Tanner Funeral Services of Starke.
