Mass of Christian burial was celebrated this afternoon (Monday, August 11, 2003) at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Taft native, Dody Anderson, 51. Rev. Msgr. M, pastor of St. Mary's was the celebrant. Burial followed in the West Side District Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Taft on August 15, 1951 and passed away in Bakersfield on August 7, 2003.

She was raised and educated in Taft and graduated from Taft Union High School. Mrs. Anderson received an AA degree from Taft College. She had been employed as an accountant by some of the local insurance agencies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Georgene Devine and by her daughter, Kim Burell. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her loving daughters, her husband, her brothers and sisters, her aunts and their husbands, her seven grandchildren, and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral was entrusted to the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
