Dorothy Anderson was born in Hoquiam, Washington. Dorothy passed away in Fresno, California.
Dorothy Lund met Gerald Anderson, who was stationed in Washington in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. They married and moved to Kerman in 1945. There, she and Gerald would have three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was an avid reader and traveler. She adored Perry Como and Perry Mason. Dorothy also took great delight and satisfaction in her precise bookkeeping.
Dorothy was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church for 62 years. She kept books for her family business, Sierra Trailer Rental & Sales and the family raisin farm in Kerman.
Dorothy is survived by her brother, George Lund of Aberdeen, Washington; and her children, Ken Anderson and his wife Lyn of Madera, Don Anderson and his wife Jean, and Janet Safreno and her husband Daniel, all of Kerman. Grandchildren are Kevin Anderson and his wife Wilana, Kurt Anderson, Erin Nestor, Jennifer Safreno and Mark Safreno. Her two great-grandchildren are Paige Anderson and Avery Nestor.
She is also survived by brothers-in-law, Russell Anderson and his wife Ellen, and Bill Menard. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Elaine Keeney and her husband Alex, as well as Norma Henrikson. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Saturday. February 10, 2007, at 10:00 a.m.
