Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 13, at Frieden's United Church of Christ, Port Washington for Roy A. Anderson, 83, of 218 S. High St., Port Washington, who died on Oct. 10, at his home.
The Rev. Philip Schowalter officiating at the service.
Mr. Anderson was born on Aug. 4, 1896, in Grafton, the son of Abraham and Emma Fiedler Anderson.
He married Ella Wolf of Port Washington on Nov.25, 1926, in Port Washington.
He was a machinist at Modern Equipment Co., Port Washington for 45 years, He retired in 1971. He was a member of the Modern Equipment 25 Years Club, IAM and AW 1493.
Mr. Andeson is survived by his wife, Ella, one son, Don of Oconomowoc and one daughter Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Tackes of St. Louis, Mo. Two brothers, Alvin and Harvey, both of Grafton, four sisters, Mrs. Walter (Esther) Kruke of Port Washington, Elsie Anderson of Grafton, Mrs. Carrie Cook, Hyattsville, Md., Mrs. Violet Bidwell, Montpelier, Ohio, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
One sister, Lavina, preceded him in death.
Burial was in the Union Cemetery, Port Washington.
Memorials may be given to Frieden's United Church of Christ.
Poole Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
