SILVERTON - Josephine Anderson, 91, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rance Young and the Rev. Jay Stinson officiating. Burial will be in Silverton Cemetery. Arrangements are by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada.
Mrs. Anderson was born March 28, 1914, in Silverton to the late Roy and Mary (Haynes) Daniel. She was a granddaughter of some of the early pioneer families of Briscoe County. She married Clarence Edgar Anderson in November 1938 in Silverton. He preceded her in death in April 1956. After her husband's death, Josephine managed the Guarantee Abstract Co. until she retired, She enjoyed many years of participation as a member of the March of Times Study Club. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Silverton. She enjoyed collecting rocks, bird watching and traveling.
She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Leonard Koslowski.
Survivors include a son, Joe Anderson and wife, Brenda, of Fort Worth; a daughter, Susan Koslowski of Lubbock; and four grandchildren, Carol and Cathy Koslowski and Ashley and Thomas Anderson.
The family suggests memorials be to Silverton Cemetery Association or Parkinson's Association, 3506 21st, Lubbock, TX 79410.
