Elizabeth "Sissy" Anderson, 81, of Sunset Street, died Saturday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Anderson was an employee of Laughlin Memorial Hospital for 30 years.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, the Negro Women's Civic Club, and the Hattie Bryant Circle.
Ms. Anderson was born on August 13, 1923, and was a daughter of the late Earl and Mamie Anderson.
Survivors include a daughter: Lena Holmes of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren and their spouses: Elizabeth (Holmes) and Keith Robinson and Kenneth and Tangia Anderson, all of Jacksonville, James Holmes Jr. and his wife, Carol Holmes, of Omaha, Neb., and Gregory Holmes and Joe and Denise Holmes, all of Jacksonville; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister: Roxie Hamilton of Greeneville; a brother and sister-in-law: Henry "Boots" and Naomi Anderson of Greeneville; a sister-in-law: Lula Anderson of Greeneville; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: Carl Holmes; two sisters: Anna Bell Broyles and Mary Alice Hamilton; and three brothers: Benny Anderson, John Anderson, and Joe Anderson.
