OBITUARY, Rushville [IN] Republican, Monday, March 28, 1966:

H. Ray Anderson, Sr., 72, R.R. 1, Arlington, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday in the Conover Rest Home at Morristown.

A resident of the Arlington community for many years, Mr. Anderson was a retired farmer and Arlington school bus driver.

He was born at Mattoon, Ill., on March 14, 1894, the son of Albert and Melissa Headlee Anderson, and was married on August 26, 1915 to Lena McMichael, who died October 10, 1964.

Survivors include three children, Mrs. Wilburn (Juanita) Ward and H. Ray Anderson, Jr., both of R.R. 1, Arlington, and Mrs. E. J. (Virginia) Bennett of Hobbs, N.M.; two sisters, Miss Etta Anderson of South Bend and Mrs. Fred (Grace) Starr of Bedford; two half-sisters, Mrs. Edgar (Elsie) Lunn, Mattison, Ill., and Mrs. Leland (Marie) Pless, Bloomington, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Blue River Wesleyan Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. William Abresch officiating, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hauk-Spencer Mortuary in Morristown from 7 p.m. tonight until 9 a.m. Wednesday and after then at the church.

H. Ray Anderson Sr., 72, R.R. 1, Arlington, died at the Conover Rest Home, Morristown, at 1:45 p.m. Saturday. He had been seriously ill for about one month.

Services for Mr. Anderson, who was a retired farmer and school bus driver, will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., at the Blue River Wesleyan Church, with Rev. William Abresch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Hauk-Spencer Mortuary in Morristown after 7:00 p.m. today and until 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, and then at the church.

Mr. Anderson, who had roomed in Shelbyville before his illness, was born March 14, 1894, the son of Albert and Melissa (Headlee) Anderson, at Mattoon, Ill. He married Lena McMichael Aug. 26, 1915, and she preceded him in death Oct. 10, 1964.
