Mrs. George Anderson of Bicknell Dies of Paralytic Stroke
Bicknell, July 18 -- Mrs. George Anderson, age 51 years, died at 6:30 o'clock this morning at her home here. Her death was due to paralysis. Mrs. Anderson had been ailing during the past week. About midnight her husband gave her a dose of medicine and after going back to sleep he did not awaken until about 4 o'clock when he heard his wife breathing with great difficulty. She was then in an unconscious state from which she never rallied.
The funeral arrangements have not been made.
Mrs. Altha Ellen Phillippe Anderson was born April 14, 1871, near Asbury Chapel, the daughter of David and Jamima Phillippe. She was married to George Anderson in 1892. To the union were born three children: Earl, a local mail carrier, Ralph of the First National Bank and Mrs. Wilburn (Mary) Stiles. She was the oldest of the living children of her father's family. Rebecca, the eldest child, died as a little girl. The others are: Mrs. Henry Mack, Vincennes, Mrs. John Lawton, Vincennes, Mrs. Lewis Steffy, Bicknell, Will Phillippe, Local barber, Hugh Phillippe, local painter, and Mrs. Lawrence Drain, with whom the father lives.

The funeral of Mrs. George Anderson will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Baptist church with the Rev. U. M. McGuire officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F Cemetery.
