Richard "Dickie" Anderson, age 62 of Centerville, Iowa passed away at home, surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, May 22, 2008.

Richard was born January 16, 1946, the son of Chester and Meryl (Proctor) Anderson in Centerville, Iowa. Richard graduated from Centerville High School. He married Marilyn Dove Hoffman May 31, 1986 in Unionville, Missouri. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local #67 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Richard is survived by his wife, Marilyn D. Anderson of Centerville, Iowa and her family, and his step-father, Julius (Junior) Dove of Centerville, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gary Anderson.

Per Richards request there will be a graveside services held 4:30pm Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Hanes Cemetery near Centerville with Pastor Howard Luscan officiating. In lier of flowers a memorial has been established to Hospice of Central Iowa and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
