Charles M. “Jocko” Anderson, age 85, of Greenwood, DE passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.

Jocko was born on March 24, 1931 in Bridgeville, the son of the late Essie and Charles W. Anderson. Jocko shared many happy years of marriage to Shirley Jane Eskridge Anderson, originally of Blades. Jocko and Shirley spent many years attending auctions and antiquing.

He was a pipe fitter at DuPont where he retired in March of 1984. He enjoyed stock car races, antiques, clocks, pocket watches, gardening, but mostly spending time on the farm with some good country cooking.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jane Eskridge Anderson in 2005 and 2 sisters, Charlotte Kefauver and Hildred Collins, a step-granddaughter, Katina Larimore.

He is survived 3 children, Charles D. Anderson (Lisa), Sharon A. Rubino and Ray T. Anderson (Bonnie), a sister, Virginia Kaye, 6 grandchildren, Tammy LeCates (Burt), Sheila Wilkins (James), Jamie Smith (Jeff), Ray T. Anderson Jr, (Melissa), Wendie Price (Eric) and Charles Jordan Rubino, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his late step-granddaughter’s husband, Rusty.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, October 10th at 2 PM at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, where friends may call from 1 to 2. Burial will be in Blades Cemetery.
