ANDERSON RITES HELD RECENTLY, WASHINGTON IS.

Washington Island—Funeral services were conducted last week Sunday by the Rev. C. Lundberg, for Andrew Anderson, 83, who died the previous Thursday following an illness of two years from a heart ailment.

Curtis Johnson, George Nelson, George Jorgenson, Henry Oleson, Lawrence Hahnkuper, and Charles Johnson were pallbearers, and Miss Gladys Christianson provided the music. Burial was in the island cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born at Rendal, Norway, Oct. 19, 1859, to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson. He came to America in 1890 and lived in New York and Jersey City, N. J. for a year before coming to Door county where he has since made his home, engaging in farming and carpenter work. He and Nicoline Reimert were married in 1892.

Surviving Mr. Anderson are his wife and six children: Lawrence of Washington Island, Mrs. Walter (Helen) Miller, and Alfred of Milwaukee, Mrs. Lillian Nelson, and Carrie of Chicago, and Mrs. Leon (Alice) Cornell of Sheboygan.

Besides the children, others attending the funeral were Leon Cornell of Sheboygan, Mrs. Lloyd Chambers of Kenosha, Herbert Erickson of Baileys Harbor, and Mrs. Overby of Ellison Bay.
