Bobby Joe Anderson, 26, entered into rest Thursday, January 22, 2009 at his residence.

He had a courageous battle with cancer, he lived with his loving mother and also his caretaker. He will deeply be missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rosa Mildred Anderson and Henry Anderson.

He is survived by his mother, Pansy Anderson and stepfather, Mike Million, Kingsport, TN; sister, Shannon and Wesley Hooks, Russell County, VA; a special step father, Charlie Mays, Weber City, VA; also his kids, Skylar McMillan, Weber City, VA, Brianna Anderson, Kingsport, TN, Bobby Anderson, Jr. and Madison, OH, Lakin Calton, Weber City, VA; step brothers, Blane and Jonathon Million.

The visitation hours are from 5-6 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 for the family only. Visitation for friends and neighbors will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of his mother. Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Doyle Castle and Rev. Don Hunley officiating. Music will be provided by Depending on Jesus Singers.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. The family will meet at 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be David Kilgore, Dallas Castle, Sr., Donnie Hunley, Jerry Hunley, James Hunley, Marvin Dean, Billy Ward and Bob Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be J.R. Hooks, Timmy Sexton, Kevin Despain, Dallas Castle, Jr., Scotty Tipton and Roger Dean.

He was surrounded with family and friends who loved him and will miss him. A special thanks to Kim and David Kilgore for being there through it all. And to all his friends and family, stepbrothers, Blane Million and Jonathon Million.
