During his formative years, he attended Las Vegas schools which included two years of college. Chad was an active member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, serving as President at one time. While he served as President, Chad was instrumental in establishing a scholarship fund for local art students to further their education. Chad was active in both local and state politics. He owned several Rent-A-Car agencies and enjoyed meeting people while in the sales field.
Chad was a member of the LDS Church in St. George, Utah. On May 15, 1980, he married Marilyn Drew in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn and seven children. His parents and a son preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at the Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Arrangements are entrusted to Metcalf Mortuary (435) 673-4221.
