Renee R. Anderson, 67, a retired piano teacher, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, after a long illness. The service will be at 1 p.m. EST Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 312 Stadium Drive Burial will be in Cache Valley, Utah. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EST today at Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LDS Humanitarian Fund, c/o Bishop Nathan Roberts, 314 Stadium Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32304, or Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. She grew up in Nevada and Idaho and attended Utah State University and Kansas State University, where she majored in child development. She volunteered with Project Head Start, was an advisor to Chi Omega Sorority in Kansas and was active in Women for Responsible Legislation in Florida. She was a leader in women's and children's auxiliaries in her church and assisted with music through-out most of her adult life. She spent her last 30 years in Tallahassee. She also was an insurance processor for Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Loran C. Anderson, a professor emeritus at Florida State University; her parents, Alton and Bernice Roueche of Kennewick, Wash.; a son, Perry Wade Anderson of Tallahassee; a daughter, Cindy Clawson of Tallahassee; three brothers of Washington; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
