Edmond "Eddie" Anderson, age 93, of Austwell, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born June 24, 1919 in Taylor, Texas to the late Carl G. and Hannah S. Anderson. He served in the United States Army during WWII in the European Theater. He received the Purple Heart Medal. He was a member of the VFW Post #6290 of Refugio County. He was a farmer in the Austwell area, and was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Eddie is survived by his sons, Donald (Judy Young) Anderson, and Carl (Lisa) Anderson, all of Austwell; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise Jackson Anderson; daughter, Jean Marie Vaughan; two sisters; and five brothers.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Chris Myers, Tate Waldrum, Jimmy Jackson, and Craig Lenhart.
