Funeral services for Mrs. Bettie Anderson, aged 77 years, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. T. Adams, 811 North Thirteenth street, Saturday night at 9:30 o’clock, were held from the Church of Christ church Sunday afternoon at 8 o’clock with burial in Black Hills cemetery. The rites were conducted by Rev. Leslie Thomas, minister of the Church of Christ.

Mrs. Anderson had resided in Navarro county for 36 years, the last 14 years in Corsicana. She had been a member of the Church of Christ for 60 years.

Surviving are two sons, W. M. Anderson, Pickett, and V. L. Anderson, Dorchester; six daughters, Mrs. J. T. Adams, Corsicana; Mrs. E. A. Gunter, Brandon; Mrs. J. H. Howard, Waco; Mrs. J. Y. Deere, Saltillo, Tenn.; Mrs. A. L. Adams, Corsicana, and Mrs. Roy F. Bunch, Drane; three brothers, J. B. Hipp, Ardmore, Okla.; John Hipp, Bonham, and I. G. Hipp, Duncanville; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Harrell, Waco; 24 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The following grandsons were pallbearers: Otis Adams, Lovell Adams, Raymond Gunter, Robert Anderson, Edward Anderson, Keeley Anderson, Sheeley Anderson and Rudolph Howard.

The funeral was directed by the Sutherland-McCammon Funeral Home.
