THE PARIS NEWS, Wed., Jan. 25, 1995, p. 8A: “Bub H. Anderson, 90, 2193 E. Cherry, died Jan. 23, 1995, in McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, in Evergreen Cemetery with Bishop Russell Rainy officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Anderson was born April 18, 1904, in Delta County, a son of James Thomas and Minnie Zora Chetum Anderson. He married Vera Edith Johns, Oct. 25, 1930. She died Aug. 18, 1987. For 40 years Mr. Anderson and his brothers traveled through Paris selling snow cones and ice cream and he sold fire works on July 4th and Christmas from his stand on N. Main St. Surviving are three daughters, Janie Jackson of Paris, Helen Needham of Houston and Edith Abbott of Shreveport, LA; four sons, A. B. Anderson of San Antonio, Roy Anderson of Greenville, Lester Anderson of Midland and Jimmy Anderson of Hurricane, UT; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Anderson, and a daughter, Betty Anderson.”
