Paris native Elizabeth Pritchette Neese "Lib" Anderson, surrounded by loving family and friends, died at the home of her brother on Head Street in Paris on Sunday morning, October 26, 2008.
She was born July 12, 1958, in Paris and grew up in Martin, graduating from Westview High School in 1976.
Lib was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Margaret Pritchette Neese; and a nephew, John Joseph Beringer.
She is survived by her son, James Blake Neese Anderson of Knoxville and her companion, Donald Wesley Jacobs.
Lib also is survived by her three siblings, Linda Neese Beringer and her husband Tim of Akron, Ohio, Nancy Neese Culver and her husband Jim of Nashville and John David Neese and friend Sue Maskas of Paris.
Lib has eight surviving nieces and nephews, Jessica Neese Keenan of Nashville, David Andrew Culver of Washington, D.C., John Ashley Neese and his wife Mary-Michael of Birmingham, Alabama, Emily Culver Bigelow and her husband Robb of Nashville, Timothy Andrew Beringer and his wife Meghan of Akron, Ohio, Julie Marie Culver of New York City, Rosemary Beringer Sprecher and her husband Matt of Minturn, Colorado, and Michael James Culver of Nashville.
In addition, there are four great-nieces and nephews, Jackson Keenan, Landon Neese, and Anna and Peter Bigelow.
She also is survived by her aunt, Edith Pledger Neese and first cousin, Sandy Neese Farley of Merritt Island, Florida, as well as cousins Mildred Pritchett Robertson and Bill Neese and his wife and daughter, Susan and Ellen, all of Paris.
Lib was an integral and valuable employee of Henry County Hardwoods for 16 years. After initially being employed as a receptionist, she took the initiative to educate herself about the lumber industry and became indispensable in the daily, monthly and yearly operations.
She was largely responsible for corporate expansion and growth while developing and serving as general manager.
Lib was a well-known and respected representative to customers throughout the nationwide lumber industry. Early in her career, she also worked at NAPA Auto Parts and Wofford's Nursery.

Calling hours will be at McEvoy Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. The service will be held at McEvoy's Chapel at 11 am Wednesday with visiting hours beginning at 10 am.
Pallbearers will be Charlie and Steve Maskas, Max Middleton, Marty Hall, Mike Rooks and Kenneth Rawls.
John Bowen will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
