J. Blaine Anderson of Three Springs, R. D., died at, 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 1957, at his late home. He had been in failing health for the past four years, but death came unexpectedly.
He was born on April 4, 1885, in Clay Township, Huntingdon County, a son of Levi and Isabelle (Wible) Anderson. He was married to Nannie Mort on September 6, 1906, at the bride’s home at Clear Ridge by the Rev. Mr. Myers of the Church of God.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wide and two daughters, Mr. Russell (Margaret) Shiffer of Three Springs and Mrs. Richard (Maxine) Rotz of Three Springs. There are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Harry S. Anderson of Ocala, Florida.
He was of the Church of God faith. A farmer by occupation, Mr. Anderson resided for 49 years on the farm on which he died.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, at 2 p.m. from the Ott funeral home in Orbisonia. The Rev. Paul Bell of the Walnut Grove church of God and the Rev. Charles Hess of the Three Springs Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be made in the Three Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday, until the time for the services.
