Auda Anderson, 90, of Earlsboro, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 in Irving, Texas. She was born February 26, 1922 to Jessie Orlando and Iva Lestus Sloan in Waurika, Oklahoma.

Auda was raised in Waurika and attended Waurika Schools where she met her future husband. She married her high school sweetheart Frank Anderson on March 24, 1940 in Waurika, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on September 24, 2002. Auda and Frank moved to Allen, Oklahoma and began their family later moving to Irving, Texas. They moved to Earlsboro in 1967 where they farmed and raised cattle. Auda lived in Earlsboro until moving to Irving, Texas in December 2011.

She worked for 20 years as the Secretary for the Earlsboro School Superintendent. Auda was a member of First Baptist Church in Earlsboro since 1970. She enjoyed reading, music and constantly learning. Auda loved gardening, canning, sewing, cooking and having friends and family over. Her family was the focal point of her life.

Auda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank Anderson, son, Jimmy N. Anderson and grandson, John Anderson.

She is survived by her three daughters and two sons-in-law, Peggy and Jerry Cooper of Irving, Texas, Phyllis and Ian Gliori of Earlsboro, Oklahoma and Janell Anderson of Stillwater, Oklahoma; son and daughter-in-law, Clinton and Janet Anderson of Marshall, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Garland and Caroline Sloan of California; sixteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends.
