Chrystal Etta Anderson, 90, of Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra, Mo., formerly of Quincy and Tucson, Ariz., died at 5:39 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 3, 1994) in the home where she had been a resident since Nov. 15, 1993.
Born June 9, 1903, in Adams County, Mrs. Anderson was a daughter of Dory C. and Maude Cubbage Nelson. She married James R. Anderson May 5, 1921, in Quincy. He died July 30, 1968.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of Union United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Mendon Township High School and had worked as a bookkeeper for an Ashland implement company and later as a cook for the Gardner family in Quincy.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Rhoda) Crist of Maywood, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jay R. Crist of Gwinn, Mich., Michael Crist of Ewing, Mo., Mrs. Mark (Pat) Ketzler of Quincy, Brent Anderson of Omaha, Neb., and Brian Anderson of Ames, Iowa; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul V. and Wilford W. Nelson; and a son, Dr. Don Anderson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Donald Batz. Inurnment will be later in Tucson.
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Blessing Foundation for Hospice or Hannibal Hospice.
