ELKHART - Donna Jean Anderson, 80, of Elkhart, formerly of Pleasant Lake in Edwardsburg, died Wednesday morning in Riverside Village in Elkhart. Donna was born March 19, 1929 in Benton Township, Michigan to Berlin and Bertha (Reske) Martin. On June 9, 1948 in Benton Harbor, Michigan she married Max L. Anderson who preceded her in death on May 3, 2005. Also preceding her were her parents, a sister, Ruth Neal and two brothers, Junior and Jerry Martin. Surviving are two daughters: Marilyn K. (George) Collins of Tomball, Texas, Jennifer E. Lebeau of Elkhart; two sons: Charles (Donna) of Elkhart and Geoffery (Marlene) of Wichita, Kansas; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ginny Jewel and Ernestine Drumond both of St. Joseph, Michigan; two brothers: Charles F. Martin of Coloma, Michigan and Ronnie Martin of Grand Rapids, Michigan. A Memorial service will be held at 11 am Tuesday May 26 in Life Tabernacle Church, Elkhart, with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating, where a luncheon will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Donna may be made to: Life Tabernacle Church 1135 Middlebury St., Elkhart, IN 46516. Final resting place will be at Mission Hills in Niles, MI. The HICKEY Funeral Homes and Cremation Service is handling arrangements.
