- COCKEYSVILLE,MARYLAND -- Lillian K. Anderson, 91, of Cockeysville, formerly of Cumberland, died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
Born Oct. 28, 1907, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William Albert and Hazel (Fier) Kaefer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Anderson; three sisters, Anna B. Wagner, Dorothy Turano and Mildred Woods; one brother, Thomas Lowery; and one sister-in-law, Mary Jane Tyree.
Mrs. Anderson was a former employee of the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, and retired from the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Md., in 1968. She was a former member of Kingsley United Methodist Church, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the American Red Cross Volunteers, St. Mary's Extension Council Homemakers, and St. Columbia Chapter #92 Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are one sister, Ethel Bobo, Baltimore; two brothers, Charles Lowery and wife, Jeanne, Aberdeen, and Edward Lowery and wife, Doris, Arbutus; one sister-in-law, June Lowery, Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted by the McKinley Chapter #12 Order of the Eastern Star on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard H. Jewell officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Cumberland.
