Monday, April 14, 2008, Our father, son, grandpa and brother, Leland Kipp Anderson, 51, passed away, after a short but corageous battle with cancer. Kipp was born to Leland Sharon and Karen Bennett Anderson March 11, 1957 in Ogden Utah. He grew up in Bear River City, attending Box Elder High School and graduating from Bear River High School in 1975, where he excelled in wrestling, taking state honors. He learned to work hard at a young age, and that work ethic carried strong in him through out his life. He began milking cows for Chlarson's Dairy even befor he had a driver's license. He married Suzanne Allen, June 23, 1976 and together they had five beautiful children. These children and now grandchildren have brought him so much joy and he was so proud of them. Kipp owned and operated his own kitchen cabinet business when he was only 22 years old, completing over 30 custom-made kitchens in less than two years. He was a master at wood working and his talent was evident in everything he made. Many different job opportunites came Kipp's way over the years that took him and his family all over the United States, Idaho, Nevada, Texas, Massachusetts, Alabama, Maryland, and finaly california, wher he was the Chief Operating Officer for Walden Structures, Riverside, California. Kipp worked in the modular and panelized manufacturing and construction industry for over 30 years. He has worked for Boise Cascade Homes and The Boise Company, Summery Buildinf Systems, American Dreanm Homes, William/Scotsman, Costal Manufactoring, Bellemead Construction and Agriboard Industries. Kipp has constructed projects for such respected companies as Boeing, McDonald Duglas, United Technoliogies, Merick, Sterling Drug, American, american West, Pan Am, and Continental Airlines, and USPS. He has worked on over 20 correctional facilities and other various projects in the US and overseas. His knowledge of the business and his leadership skills, wetre exceptional. He made many friends along the way.
He loved his family. Spending precious time with them meant the most. He loved traveling; his travel took him to places like, Italy, Australia, and Ireland. He loved going to Anaheim Angels Games, takeing his kids and grandkids to the beach, eating in fine restaurants, and found pleasure in growing roses in his gardens. He was an avid collector of Thomas Kinkaid paintings. He was recently working on completing a family retreat in Island Park, where his family can now go in his memory. His will to live was amazing. Kipp was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints.
He is survived by his children: Justin(Jill), Fielding, Clayton, Tremonton. Chelsie(Lathan) Thompson, Teremonton, Jordan Anderson and Lacy Anderson, Fielding; three grandchildren: Dylan Anderson(6), Camden Anderson(3) and Cooper Thomas(1 Week); his loveing parents, Leland and Karen Anderson, Bear River City, brother, Kraig; sisters: Debbie,Viki and Karen Lee; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. Saturday April 19, 2008 at the Bear River City Church, 5870 North 4700 West, Bear River City with his brother Bishop Kraig Anderson conducting. Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00p.m. Friday April 18, 2008 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton and Saturday from 9:30-10:30a.m. at the church. Finally special thanks need to be given to his wonderful mother and father, who have cared for him so tenderly and unselfishly through his cancer battle and for his son, Jordan, who dilligently stayed by his dad's side through the last four weeks untill his dad's passing. Thanks also to Charlie Walden, for his friendship and generosity. The family has given an original Thomas Kinkad painting to Charlie and because of Kipp's devotion to the company; they also have donated a couple of rose plants to be transplanted int the Walden Structures company gardens, in his memory. WE LOVE YOU, DAD! You're in our hearts forever!!!
