ELWOOD, UTAH - Frank LaVere Anderson, 69, died August 9, 1996, at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden of complications following heart surgery. He was born August 29,1926, in McGill, Nevada, the son of LaVere Clarence and Clytie Leota Robb Anderson. He married Wilma Billie Kroksh on February 17, 1947, in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized on Sept. 29,1964, in the Logan LDS Temple.
Frank lived the first five years of his life in McGill, Nevada, then moving to the Tremonton, Elwood area where he resided until the time of his death. He graduated from Bear River High School. He owned and operated his own farm and had been the Town Mayor of Elwood.
He was a member of the Elwood LDS Ward where he served as Bishop and on the Stake High Council.
Mr. Anderson served in the Navy during World War II.
He was a devoted and loving husband and father. He spent many hours in church and community service.
Surviving are his wife of Elwood, two daughters and one son and their spouses, Risee (Jack) Evans, Collinston; Lynne (Jim) Baty, Tremonton; Craig (Mary Louise) Anderson,Elwood; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Neil (RaNae) Anderson, Renton, Washington; Clytie (Irving) Ransom, Brigham City.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 12,1996, at 12:00 noon at the Tremonton South Stake House with Bishop Shegeki Moriyama officiating.
Interment in the Bear River City Cemetery.
