Papaw, 80, son of Robert and Phoebe Stevens Anderson. First wife, Imogene Anderson preceded him in death on Aug. 4, 2000. He was retired from the General Electric Company and was Constable for Davis County for 14 years. The was a member of the Dawson Baptist Church and an Army vetern of World War II, he loved gardening and bush hogging.

Survivors include his wife, Delma Anderson, four sons, Alvis, Gary and Norman Anderson, all of Owensboro, and Tony Anderson of Philpot; three daughters, Donna Boling and Patsy Clark, of Owensboro, and Becky Boling of Whitesville; a step-son Daniel Hulsey of Owensboro; four step-daughters, Sharon Alvey and Donna Mason, both of Owensboro, and Marion Jackson, of Cloverport, and Chris Brown, of Utica; 25 grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; ; 15 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Bert Anderson, of Owensboro; and a sister, Daisy Watts of Greenville.
