WAYNESBORO-Helen Louise Anderson Smith, 71, died Wednesday (Oct. 24, 2001) at Augusta Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 2, 1930 at Waynesboro, a daughter of Orville T. and Helen L. Padgett Anderson.
She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and was a credit collection representative at Waynesboro Community Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Henry Smith.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, John H. Smith of Middlebrook and P. T. Smith and his wife Loris, of Billings, Mont.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Helen Luann Smith Farrar of Waynesboro and Suzann Smith Jones and her husband, Jeff, of Roanoke; a brother, O. B. Anderson of Staunton; three sisters, Joann Anderson Sims of Waynesboro, Judith C. Anderson of Stuarts Draft and Diane D. Anderson of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Brooke Y. Goolsby, Stefany M. Smith, Shannon N. Farrar, M. Seaton Farrar, and Brock A. Smith; four great-grandchildren, Kali C. Thornton, Brett N. Cook, Matthew S. Farrar and India H. Cordova.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Second Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. John McLean officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reynolds Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
