Jesse Paul Anderson, 77, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, July 8, 2005, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Born May 9, 1928, in Jackson County, Ky., he was the son of Jesse and Emma Sexton Anderson.

Mr. Anderson retired after 30 years of service as a group leader with General Motors, was a member of First Baptist Church in New Lebanon, Ohio, and was a member of Farmersville Masonic Lodge in Ohio.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Orville Anderson and Lelia Elliott.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Sallie Mae Anderson of Oak Ridge; his daughter, Beverly Lindsey and husband, Jack, of Oak Ridge; two grandchildren, Joe Lindsey and wife, Stacey, of Mustang, Okla., and Sallie Orns and husband, Dennis, of Minonk, Ill.; four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, and Zoe Lindsey, and Avery Jason Orns; and by two sisters, Margaret Combs of West Alexandria, Ohio, and Pauline Powell of Eaton, Ohio.

A Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m. tonight in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the funeral service to follow. The Rev. Mark Walton will officiate.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the mortuary.

The family requests that memorials be in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, Anderson County Unit, 104 Antioch Drive, Oak Ridge, TN 37830, or to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502.
