The following is copied from notes of his grandaughter, Florence Caroline Samuelson:

Left Sweden October 11, 1879; Arrived at Boston November 2, 1879 and then went to Clarks, Nebraska, November 6, 1879. Moved to Linne and Templeton, California, December 7, 1887 (Approx). Moved from Linne to Clearwater and then Compton about 1891. Moved from Compton to Wilmington about 1896. Moved from Wilmington to Long Beach about 1898. Moved from Long Beach to Burnet about 1900. Moved from Burnet to Los Angeles at 1309 East 16th Street about 1902. Moved to 118 South 18th Avenue, Los Angeles, in 1909, where Andrew Anderson passed away April 1915, and Anna C. Anderson in December 1915.

He married Anna C. Persdotter on March 6, 1863, in Sweden. They had a total of thirteen children.

Other notes indicate that he was a Jeweler in Stromsburg, Nebraska, and a land promoter in Linne (now part of Paso Robles) California.
