GORDONSVILLE –Forrest Nobel "Dean" Anderson Jr., 65, of the St. Mary's Community of Smith County died Saturday, April 5, 1997, after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Anderson was the son of the late Forrest Noble Anderson Sr. and Ruby Dean Huddleston Anderson. He was born and raised in the Boma Community.
He was a veteran of the Army, stationed in Germany during his tour of duty. He was employed for 31 years at AVCO, which became Textron Aerospace, before retiring in 1989, after which he returned to his farm. Mr. Anderson was a member, deacon and Sunday School teacher at Faith Chapel Church in Buffalo Valley.
His family includes his wife, Mildred Smith Anderson; two sons, Ron Anderson, his wife, Ann, and daughter, Heather Michelle West of Knoxville and Richard Lee Anderson, his wife, Gina, and two children, Jordan Alexander and Allie Elizabeth Ann of Rome; one sister, Linda Sue Collier of Baxter; and two brothers, Prentice Anderson of Carthage and Jim Anderson of Silver Point.
