Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church in Ottawa with the Rev. Timothy Johnson, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Mrs. Anderson was born July 30, 1913 in Ottawa to Fred and Sylvia (Schaefer) Towne. She married Roy J. Anderson in the First Congregational Church in Ottawa. He died April 23, 1990.
She received her teaching certificate from Northern Illinois University. She taught school in Deer Park and at Shabbona School in Ottawa. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Seneca. She attended Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, a former member of the Ottawa Junior Womens Club, former Girl Scout Leader for Trailways Council of Girl Scouts in Seneca and Marseilles for 18 years, Secretary of LaSalle County Genealogy Guild.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice (James) Eick of Ottawa and Lois (Brian) Marsel of Ottawa; 4 Grandchildren, Jamie Wheeler, Jesse Eick, Brianne Tegel and Andie Marsel; and 4 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Fred Fritz and Harry Towne.
Pallbearers will be her four grandchildren and James Eick and Brian Marsel.
